A NEWS reporter at Glasgow-based radio station, Clyde 1, is in the running for a prestigious national radio award.
Gillian Wheelan, who also provides news for sister station, Clyde 2, has been nominated for Reporter of the Year at the Independent Radio News Awards, which celebrate the best in UK commercial radio news.
The 29 year-old, who has been with the station for three years, will battle it out for the winning title against four news reporters from across the UK.
The winner will be announced at a ceremony in London on March 7.
