Radio station, Clyde 1, has taken on a new presenter, to host its drivetime slot, as part of wider re-scheduling of presenters.
'Knoxy' is joining Clyde 1 from Moray Firth Radio, which – like Clyde – is owned by Bauer Media.
She takes over from Suzie McGuire who has moved to co-host the breakfast show.
Inverness-born, she is a winner this year of the Arqiva Commercial Radio Presenter of the Year title in the category for the UK's smaller stations. At Moray Firth Radio for six years, she presented the drivetime and Sunday afternoon shows.
She starts her new job next month.
Says Tracey McNellan, station director at Radio Clyde: “Knoxy is going to be a big hit with Clyde 1. She’s a fantastic presenter and we can’t wait to have her taking Glasgow and the West of Scotland home every weekday evening.
“Finding a new host for our number 1 drive time show was always going to be a challenge. We searched far and wide, determined to get the very best around to join the team at Clyde 1. When we found Knoxy it was clear the search was over.
“She’s a star of the future, recognised not just by us at Radio Clyde but at the Arqiva Awards, by the radio industry too. It's exciting for her to now be taking the stage on the largest commercial station in Scotland. Knoxy’s a fabulous addition to our team and we are delighted to have her bring the best music, entertainment, sport and news to our local audience.”
