A teen drama made by the Scottish division of one of the UK’s best-known indies for online transmission is now set to be shown on TV screens.
Scottish broadcaster, STV, has agreed to broadcast new Scots show, Being Victor, which has been produced by Glasgow-based Shed Media Scotland.
The series, which originally comprised 20, short instalments for online only, is now being re-edited by STV and Shed to create a six-part television version scheduled to air this autumn.
STV will also stream the series via its online catch-up service, STV Player.
Says channel controller at STV, Elizabeth Partyka: “We’re thrilled to be the exclusive broadcast partner for what it a smart, original new drama from Shed Media – and we’re confident that Being Victor will appeal to the younger demographic within the STV audience.”
As reported last week on allmediascotland, Shed’s Scottish arm has already secured the support of MTV Networks UK and Ireland, which is set to broadcast the online version via its website from the start of next month.
