The Aberdeen-based commercial radio station, Northsound, has appointed a new programme director.
Gary Muircroft will be responsible for the delivery of content across Northsound 1 and 2.
He is currently programme controller for Central FM and Dundee’s Wave 102.
He starts in his new position on the ninth of next month, taking over from Chris Thomson, who leaves Northsound after 11 years with the station, to head up 98FM in Ireland.
Northsound is part of a network of radio stations in Scotland owned by Bauer Media.
Says Northsound’s managing director, Cathy Kirk: “Gary has a wealth of experience in radio and comes highly recommended. He has worked as a presenter at a number of our stations including Northsound, Tay, Clyde and Moray Firth, and is also commercially aware.”
