THE number of news bulletins on BBC Scotland over the weekend is to increase from three to five.
Starting tomorrow, there will be a bulletin at lunchtime and another on Sunday, at 10.15pm – adding to the existing roster of one at Saturday tea time, another at Sunday lunchtime and a third at Sunday tea time.
Says head of News and Current Affairs at BBC Scotland, Atholl Duncan: “We are continually looking for ways of improving our news services to our Scottish audiences.
“We believe that these new weekend bulletins will be an important enhancement from the BBC Scotland news team. Nearly 80 per cent of people in Scotland get their news from the BBC. We hope that these improvements will better serve our current audience and perhaps encourage other viewers to tune in across the weekend.”
