A GLASGOW radio broadcaster and former contestant on Channel 4’s Big Brother show is to present himself to the media on Thursday as an independent candidate in a forthcoming by-election.
Mikey Hughes, who presents on Insight Radio, for people who are visually impaired, intends to reveal, among other things, how he almost got beaten up while canvassing, at the weekend, in the Glasgow North East constituency, where he is standing as an independent.
His press conference is taking place at 9.15am at the K Street Café, in Springburn’s Kay Street.
He finished runner-up in last year’s Big Brother.
