AN interview with Scottish actor, Sir Sean Connery, is among a handful of events already to have sold out at this year’s Edinburgh International Film Festival.
Since tickets for the festival went on sale at the end of last week, interviews with director, Steven Soderbergh, and actor/director/writer, Kevin Smith, also sold out. Tickets for Smith’s interview and his new movie, Clerks 2, were gone within an hour of becoming available.
And these events weren’t alone: the sold-out signs have ‘gone up over’ screenings of the opening night movie, The Flying Scotsman, plus Colour Me Kubrick, Snow Cake, Zidane and Black Box 1.
The festival expects tickets for Smith’s interview – under the general interviews banner, Reel Life – to appear on online auction website, eBay.
Says the festival: “The EIFF does not condone the re-sale of tickets but, unfortunately, it’s an area we can’t control.”
