BLINK and you’ll miss it. The ‘world’s shortest film festival’ is taking place in Edinburgh today.
Five short films, some created using mobile phones, will be shown as a montage lasting less than two minutes at the capital’s Cineworld cinema in Dundee Street, before the day’s main feature films.
The films, which last 15 seconds each, were all finalists in last year’s Nokia Shorts competition, which requires the films to be made using either standard digital recording equipment or a mobile telephone handset.
The competition is running again this year with prizes including a chance to attend the British International Film Awards in November or the Raindance Film Festival in London. The deadline for entries is the 11th of next month.
