FOUR Glasgow-based independent TV production companies have been selected by the BBC to take part in a scheme designed to provide greater access to commissioning editors.
The quartet are the only Scotland-based outfits to have been named among 25 to be chosen for XM25, which is open only to indies based out of the M25 motorway around London.
The four are Angel Eye, Clarity Productions, Finestripe Productions and The Comedy Unit.
Says the BBC: “Now in its second year, XM25 is part of a package of measures initiated by the BBC to help sustain a strong and vibrant production sector outside London.
“The scheme aims to give independent producers in-depth access to BBC Factual and Entertainment commissioning to help them develop network ideas and relationships.”
