A TRAINING course, to provide television producers with an insight into how their programme might work across a number of platforms, including mobile telephones, is being launched in Edinburgh.
Edinburgh Skillset Screen and Media Academy (formally Screen Academy Scotland and run jointly by Edinburgh Napier University and the Edinburgh College of Art) is inviting applications for its new ‘Cross-platform TV’ course. Among the best-known examples of TV programmes having applications on the likes of the internet and mobile telephones are Big Brother and Dr Who.
Applicants are being invited specifically from Scotland, Northern Ireland and the north of England – there being a similar course in England for applicants from the rest of the UK.
Applications for places are required by a week on Friday. The course is free and runs from next month to May. It is aimed mainly at new, TV industry entrants.
