A ‘TASTER’ training course on what it’s like to work in television is being offered to young people.
Says Glasgow Caledonian University, their Teen TV course might be of interest to journalists whose offspring are thinking of also working in the media.
The course lasts three days and is aimed at 15-to-18 year-olds.
Says the university: “Based in our newsroom and fantastic new High Definition TV studios, students will be given a taste of life as a broadcast journalist – reporting, scripting, editing, and newsreading – working under pressure to tight deadlines.
“The hands-on course is carefully constructed to guide students through the process of producing a television news bulletin. Every participant will be given a DVD copy of their bulletin as a permanent reminder of their experience.”
It costs £175.
