TWO, new radio stations will launch in Scotland on DAB next month after securing slots on the Digital One multiplex.
UCB, a Christian-broadcasting network, will become the second religion-based channel, joining existing service, Premier Christian Radio.
While Panjab Radio will increase competition in the Asian-focused market for the three incumbents, BBC Asian Network, Sunrise and Awaz.
“This is an extraordinary dream come true”, said UCB founder, Ian Mackie.
“We have had a 23 year-old dream and vision to broadcast nationally across the UK and it’s an overwhelming and humbling day to finally see that dream come to fruition.”
