THE Edinburgh media planning and buying agency, MediaCom Edinburgh, has announced its second account win of the day, this time Scottish Rugby.
Hard on the heels of reporting it had won the media planning and buying account for windows company, VELUX, the agency has announced it has been commissioned by Scottish Rugby, to handle its “media planning and buying account, following a three-way pitch”.
Says MediaCom, in a media release: “The first activity from the agency will be in support of the Autumn Tests campaign which sees Scotland take on two of the three best teams in the world in South Africa and Australia, and the ever-improving Japan team that swept all before them in this year’s HSBC Asian Five Nations and beat Wales in the summer.”
The release quotes Toni Blackhurst, head of marketing and commercial partnerships at Scottish Rugby, as saying: “We are delighted to be working with MediaCom on the coming season’s campaigns and in particular on developing an inventive multi-media strategy which will engage with fans across the ages and inspire Scotland through rugby.”
