A NEW free weekly newspaper is launching next week, on Wednesday.
Edinburgh Now will be available in local copies of the Daily Record, plus from street distributors – including on Princes Street and around the city’s rail stations – and in various, selected retail outlets.
The paper follows the launch – by publishers, Media Scotland – of Aberdeen Now in April (originally titled The Aberdonian).
In a Media Scotland media release, editor-in-chief, Allan Rennie, is quoted, as saying: “This is another exciting launch for Scotland’s leading print and digital publishers.
“Edinburgh Now will offer a distinctive voice in the city, one which supports local communities and businesses.
“Our business, arts and sports sections will reflect the very heart of Edinburgh life.”
