DURING the final three months of last year, an estimated 98 per cent of households (some 25.1 million) watched TV via a ‘digital TV platform’, according to figures just published by broadcasting regulators, Ofcom.
Says the watchdog, that’s up nearly five per cent on the same time period 12 months previously.
And of the remaining two per cent – given the completion of ‘digital switchover’ across the UK – it was a case of either watching TV through a ‘connected device (for example, a games console)’, not being able to receive a digital TV signal or not having a TV set at all.
