THE Times Educational Supplement Scotland magazine has lost its editor and deputy editor, following a reorganisation that sees its remaining reporters having to now work from home.
The magazine – which was named Magazine of the Year at the Scottish Magazine Awards in October – also sees an admin staff member go.
The editor is Gillian Macdonald (pictured at the Scottish Magazine of the Year Awards), while her deputy was Elizabeth Buie, a former Herald education correspondent.
Says a statement released by the company: “As a result of internal reorganisation and following consultation with staff, the editor and deputy editor of TESS have left the business. The Edinburgh office will close, which also means the loss of an administrative post. The company remains strongly committed to the future of its award-winning magazine and the three reporters will therefore be retained along with the commercial team and managing editor, Neil Munro. They will work from home.”
The magazine has been operating out of an office in Thistle Street, Edinburgh.
