THE website of Scottish Rugby is to be relaunched this month, with new features including much simpler navigation.
A rebuild of the site has been, says Scottish Rugby, taking place over the last six months since Leith-based Realise Digital were selected, following what is described as “a highly competitive tender process”.
Says a Scottish Rugby media release: “The work will see a transformation of scottishrugby.org, as well as the websites of Scotland’s two professional rugby teams, Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh Rugby.
“As part of the project, Realise were tasked with delivering a world-class suite of sites to present engaging, dynamic content as well as integrate with Scottish Rugby’s burgeoning social media presence.
“Realise undertook a design process with user experience at its heart, creating a new look to complement an overhaul of the software powering the site.”
Dominic McKay, director of commercial operations, communications and public affairs at Scottish Rugby, is quoted, as saying: “Realise Digital were the stand-out candidates in what was a highly sought-after tender.
“Their enthusiasm for the project was clear from the outset and we are very happy with what is being delivered.
“This represents a step change in the way we approach our digital media and we will have our great content integrated with our You Tube channel and our hugely popular Twitter account.”
