THE company behind the soft drink, IRN-BRU, is reportedly planning to launch a television campaign south of the border, to promote the drink.
According to The Herald, AG Barr will be screening an advert in northern England promoting the drink, which is said to be gaining in popularity in the north-east.
Writes Tim Sharp, City editor: “In the last financial year, 57 per cent of AG Barr’s sales came from England and Wales.”
AG Barr chief executive, Roger White, is quoted, as saying: “In 2013 we will be showing the successful ‘Irn-Bru gets you through’ campaign in the ‘Nely’ regions of north-east England, Lancashire and Yorkshire.”
