THE advertising sales director at the Scotland division of newspaper publishers, Johnston Press, has been promoted to an UK-wide post.
Richard Bogie has been appointed to the new role of group advertising sales director for the publisher of The Scotsman, several Scots local newspapers, Yorkshire Post and others.
Says a Johnston Press media statement: “Richard will be responsible for developing and implementing advertising revenue growth strategies for the group across local and national display as well as motors and property categories. He will also assume responsibility for major sales development projects and managing relationships with Mediaforce, Johnston Press’s national sales house.”
The statement adds: “Richard takes on his role having been ad sales director for JP Scotland and previously worked in advertising sales management roles at The Independent, IPC Media and Express Newspapers.
“He will work closely with Johnston Press’s central digital team, identifying and delivering growth opportunities and will build close working relationships with Publishing Unit managing directors, advertising directors and their teams.”
