A DIGITAL marketing agency that claims to be the biggest of its type in Scotland is seeking to appoint 15 new staff, following what it says is “a raft of new business wins”.
Glasgow-headquartered Equator says the appointments are because it is “on course to increase revenues by 20 per cent this year and has aggressive expansion plans for 2013″.
Says a media statement “Equator specialises in web development, design, social media, search engine optimisation (SEO), pay per click (PPC) and affiliate marketing and is recruiting across all areas of the business.
“The company currently employs 92 staff at its city studio, working on projects for high-profile brands including AXA, Disney, Scottish & Southern Energy and Tesco Bank.”
John McLeish, managing director, is quoted, as saying: “2012 was another exceptional year for Equator with a number of exciting consumer brands and B2B organisations coming on board. Just a few weeks into 2013, we have already won several new projects and are on course to increase revenues by 20 per cent.
“While marketing budgets are generally being squeezed, businesses recognise the importance of investing in digital to remain competitive and communicate effectively with consumers.
“We are now looking to grow our team by recruiting around 15 new members of staff including developers, designers, account directors and managers to help service these accounts.”
The company adds it is planning to open a New York office within the next few weeks.
