A RECENT former senior reporter at the Evening Times newspaper is now working in Dubai, in the Middle East, as a magazines group deputy editor.
Sarah Swain left the Evening Times last month, after just over five years there, initially as a reporter.
Originally from Cleethorpes, Linconlshire, she has worked on and off in Glasgow as a journalist for ten years, including at the Dumbarton Reporter newspaper. She has also worked as a journalist in Sydney, Australia.
At the Evening Times, she worked on a wide variety of stories, from hard news to features, fashion and theatre.
Earlier this year, she was presented with the Global Lung Cancer Coalition Lung Cancer Journalist of the Year Award for her work on a stop smoking campaign, Clear the Air, run by the Evening Times in association with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and NHS Lanarkshire.
The magazines group publishes several ‘high end’ magazines, mainly on behalf of hotel groups.
