STV is looking for a talented journalist to run its news desk in Aberdeen.
You’ll know what makes a great story, be highly organised, possess excellent communication skills and you’ll know what pictures and interviews are needed to make the best possible package, or live for STV.
As News Organiser, you’ll lead a team of reporters and be responsible for deploying camera crews and satellite trucks. You’ll be responsible for sourcing the best news material for STV.
You’ll work closely with our production team, and liaise with our online teams and freelance staff across the north. You’ll be expected to have a good working relationship with our newsrooms in Edinburgh and Glasgow, and will be the main contact for ITN in the STV North area.
We’re looking for a journalist who can multitask, work calmly under pressure, can spot and react to a story on the day, but can also take a lead in forward planning.
