DUNDEE-based newspapers and magazines publisher, DC Thomson, has seen three of its magazine titles lose sales in the last year, according to the latest figures issued by the sales measuring body, the Audit Bureau of Circulation.
In its six-monthly review of magazine sales, ABC says My Weekly’s 121,283 average sale at the end of June was 2.7 per cent down on 12 months previously. In addition, The People’s Friend registered an average sale of 249,880 at the end of June, down 6.8 per cent on the same month last year.
Meanwhile, the average sale at the end of June for The Weekly News was 35,494, down 17.9 per cent on 12 months previously.
The latest ABC consumer magazine figures are conspicuously short of Scots titles – because figures will not have been sufficiently submitted by their respective publishers.
But one title that is featured is Homes & Interiors Scotland, which registered a June end average sale of 10,345, up 1.1 per cent on the average up to December last year, but 4.6 per cent down on 12 months previously.
