Media Release: Books make way for bubbly this August

Pommery

EDINBURGH’S pop-up Pommery Champagne Cafe Bar, which attracted rave reviews last year,  is now open in the Signet Library and bringing fizz to the Festival once more.

The Cafe Bar will be open daily throughout August from 11am until late. And, with the stunning Signet Library throwing open its doors for three weeks only, this is an unique opportunity for visitors to sneak a peek at one of Edinburgh’s most impressive buildings while enjoying a glass of fizz or a lobster lunch.

As the books make way for the bubbly, the elegant library will be transformed into a buzzing hotspot for performers and festival goers alike.

Famously described by King George IV as ‘the finest drawing room in Europe’ and promising exquisite champagnes, beautifully crafted cocktails, delicious lunches, coffees and tempting afternoon teas, where better to indulge in the festival sport of celebrity spotting?

A partnership between award-winning caterers Heritage Portfolio and The Society of Writers to Her Majesty’s Signet, the pop up Pommery Champagne Café Bar at the Signet Library will be open from 3-27 August.
