TV presenter and Poppyscotland ambassador, Jackie Birdm will join Heather Lockhart and Sarah-Louise Walker from the Scotland Women’s rugby team to call for female teams to take part in the Poppyscotland Hearts & Heroes Challenge on May 15.
Details:
The Challenge consists of a 29-mile walk or run across the Southern Upland Way and organisers are hoping to attract more women to participate. The event is in aid of rugby charity Hearts & Balls and Poppyscotland, which supports veterans and their families throughout Scotland.
Rugby player-turned-presenter, John Beattie, will also encourage participants to raise as much sponsorship money as possible.
