SCOTLAND’S entrepreneurs are being given the chance to see before their very eyes how social networking sites on the internet, such as Facebook, can help grow their business.
Just as worldwide brands, such as Pepsi and Diageo, are utilising Facebook and MySpace to target audiences, so too can Scottish companies. And at a seminar being held in Glasgow next month, one lucky participant will have a social networking profile created for them, there and then, as others watch.
The how-to session is being hosted by Glasgow-based Nation1, who specialise in helping brands to grow online, where it is possible to measure exactly how they are performing.
The event is being led by Nation1’s digital director, Joe Hughes.
Said Mr Hughes: “A marketing campaign on television may be good for improving brand awareness, but nobody can ever say by how much exactly. With the internet, a campaign can be measured exactly, you can’t hide from the traffic figures.
“Nation1 is about providing clients with creative, strategic thinking about their brand and then putting it to the test, online.”
The seminar – titled, A Google a Day Keeps the Receiver Away – is taking place on October 14, from 4.30pm-7pm.
