SIXTY-two per cent of 400 Scots surveyed in a poll will be following Spain during the upcoming European football championships, with 60 per cent of the sample also expecting Spain to win it.
The figures were released by STV to tee up its coverage of the championships, which are being hosted jointly by Poland and the Ukraine during the summer.
According to the poll, by ScotPulse, Germany are second favourites (25 per cent) to win, with England’s chances of winning the trophy receiving backing from just two per cent of respondents.
Scotland failed to qualify for the event.
STV’s coverage of Euro 2012 will kick off when the competition begins on June 8, with live coverage of 14 peak time matches, alongside dedicated highlights programmes.
