STV has bolstered its sales and commercial team, including with the appointment of a new sales director.
The broadcaster has taken on Pamela Richardson as sales director Scotland), with Kris Yule another new appointment, this time as digital sales manager (Scotland).
Says a statement issued by the company: “Pamela will join STV from Capital FM Scotland, where she is currently commercial director. She will have responsibility for co-ordinating the activities of the direct client and agency account teams in Scotland, and will report to Peter Reilly, commercial director.
“As STV continues to successfully grow digital revenues, which increased by 70 per cent year on year in 2011, Kris will have responsibility for the monetisation of all of STV’s digital inventory, including [local news websites network] STV Local. Kris will report to Steven Walker, director, Corporate Development, and work closely with Peter Reilly and the wider commercial team.
“A dedicated account management function will also be established in London to work directly with London-based agencies handling Scottish clients via the London market.
“Anthony Polydorou and Stuart Kuczynski, both of whom have previous experience in the London market, will transfer from our Scottish based commercial team to take up the roles of account director, London.”
Reilly is quoted, as saying: “These appointments are designed to ensure Scottish agencies and direct clients receive an outstanding service which enables them to grow their businesses in partnership with STV across all our commercial assets. This also reflects the increased opportunities arising from STV’s successful multi-platform strategy and will enhance our presence in both Scottish and London markets.”
