NEWSPAPER and BBC online coverage last week of the placing in administration of Rangers FC resulted in almost 200 separate articles, according to the Media Standards Trust charity.
According to a survey of stories in both national newspapers and BBC Online, by the Trust, Valentine’s Day accounted for 313 articles, with the death of singer, Whitney Houston, 254.
But the Rangers story accounted for 183 articles.
And there were also 104 articles following Prime Minister David Cameron’s visit to Scotland last week, and talks about the forthcoming independence referendum with First Minister, Alex Salmond.
