A FORMER colleague of the late Sunday Post editor, Bill Anderson – who died the Friday before last – has written warmly of being taken on as a cub reporter and then being made the famous Hon Man (tasked with travelling, and reporting from, around the country, on a Holiday on Nothing).
Writes Phil Davison – in a letter published in The Herald yesterday – of being offered a job by Anderson: “I was 21 years old and happy as Larry. I didn’t understand money. I knew, as Bill did, that words would be our only currency – for the rest of our lives, as it turned out.”
