THE annual dinner and dance in Glasgow that raises money for the Journalists’ Charity – the Press Ball – has announced it has a new sponsor on board.
BT Scotland joins the event which is organised by the Glasgow and West of Scotland branch of the charity and is taking place on the third of next month.
Say the organisers, there are still a few tables available at £500 for ten guests.
Says the chair of the organising committee, David Dinsmore – currently in London as acting managing editor of The Sun: “We are delighted to have BT Scotland as our sponsors this year. They have given the charity tremendous support over many years and it is great to have them on board again.
“I look forward to seeing media and other friends at the Ball and know it will be a much happier occasion than my recent trip north for the rugby.”
