THE local, free newspaper in Glasgow, The Glaswegian, has enjoyed a recent surge in the number of people following it on Twitter, with over 500 signing up within the space of the last few days.
Says news editor, Ben Spencer: “We passed the 4,000 mark last week and are now past 4,500. We might even be the most-followed local newspaper in the area.
“Our team have been concentrating on improving the quality of our Twitter output since August and are delighted to have seen our followers increase.
“Our followers have responded well to the extra news, sport and competition content that we have been Tweeting.
“We wish to thank all our readers and followers.”
