The biggest-selling Fife weekly newspaper is to switch from broadsheet to compact in size.
The Dunfermline Press and West Fife Advertiser – better known as the Dunfermline Press – is changing size a week tomorrow.
Founded in 1859, the paper is the east of Scotland flagship for publishers, Clyde & Forth Press. Its latest audit circulation stood at 15,679. Its cover price is 80p.
Pagination is going up to a minimum of 72 pages; it's currently 28.
Editor, Simon Harris, told allmediascotland.com: “We have researched what our readers want, and we believe we have delivered that.
“They demanded a more compact paper, which although small in size, is big on local news and big on local sport.
“And of course we will continue to deliver this with the integrity which has been part of our brand over the long history of the Press.”
