A former crime correspondent at the Evening Times newspaper is to head up the media operations at NHS Lothian.
Stuart Wilson, who left the Evening Times 12 years ago to become head of media relations at Strathclyde Police, starts his new, £70,000-a-year job in July.
He joins from the Church of Scotland where he has been head of communications since January last year. Previous to that he spent three years as head of corporate communications and public affairs at Inverclyde Council and two years as head of communications for the Association of Chief Police Officers in Scotland.
He told allmediascotland.com: “This is an interesting and challenging time to be moving back into public sector public relations and I am looking forward to it immensely.
“NHS Lothian seeks to be among the top 25 healthcare providers in the world and I am excited about helping them achieve that through excellent communications and building relationships with the local and national media.”
