A FOOTBALL pundit with Radio Clyde has transferred to Real Radio Scotland, to co-present a phone-in show with his former Scotland teammate, Alan Rough.
Derek Johnstone joins Rough from Clyde 1’s Superscoreboard, joining both Rough and host, Mark Benstead, who succeeded Ewen Cameron when he was recently handed the Real Radio Scotland’s breakfast slot.
The phone-in is broadcast each week night.
Since retiring from football, Johnstone spent 25 years as a pundit on Superscoreboard.
In a statement issued by Real Radio Scotland, programme director, Jay Crawford, is quoted, saying: “Derek and I have known each other for 25 years and I’ve always felt he would be a great addition to the Real Radio Football Phone In team. I’ve spoken to him before about joining us and I’m thrilled that this time the timing was right.”
