The Festive Season is arguably the time of the year when the embargoed media release truly comes into its own: PR people want their holiday, but the media never sleeps.
Embargoed media releases appear on allmediascotland on an occasional, but increasing, basis, and bona fide journalists are invited to access them, by applying for permission to interrogate, at any time, the allmediascotland Embargo Box.
To apply for permission, journalists must first be signed up to the site. Then they need to respond to the invite that appears automatically when signing in.
Already, around 30 journalists have taken up the facility, which is free.
