A sobering tale about the need to check the facts is published in today's Evening Times newspaper, concerning a media release issued by tourism body, VisitScotland.
In the release, prospective shoppers to Glasgow are told of the delights that await, except that over half a dozen of the shops mentioned have either been closed – in one case, over five years ago – or have been relocated/renamed.
The paper – under the heading, 'Flop of the Shops' – quotes local MSP, Pauline McNeill, saying that “heads should roll”.
