A PLANNED price increase to the Sunday Herald never materialised yesterday, as it became clear that rival title, Scotland on Sunday, was to drop its price – albeit only in the west of Scotland – from £1.60 to £1.
Newsagents had been given advance warning the Sunday Herald would be increasing in price to £1.30, in a circular that included details of The Herald going up in price – from last Monday – from 80p to 90p.
But then came the SoS plans came to light, via its alerting of newsagents.
Allmediascotland this afternoon invited Sunday Herald publishers, the Herald & Times Group, to comment.
