The publisher of The Scotsman newspaper has appointed a new non-executive director.
Kjell Aamot, who spent 20 years as chief executive officer of Norwegian publisher, Schibsted ASA, is set to join the Johnston Press board from the first of next month.
Says Ian Russell, the group’s chairman: “Kjell will be a tremendous asset to Johnston Press and I am delighted to welcome him to our Board. He brings an excellent track record in managing change in the media sector which will be of immense value to us.”
