A FORMER chief sub-editor at The Herald newspaper has taken up the role of communications manager at a Scottish Government agency set up to ‘bring best value to infrastructure projects’ such as schools, transport networks and hospitals ‒ the Scottish Futures Trust.
Kevin O’Hare worked for 15 years at The Herald, which he joined from The Sunday Post, where he had been for seven years.
He left The Herald three years ago, to become head of Strategic Communications at the Scottish Drug and Crime Enforcement Agency, before enrolling at Stirling University, where he studied for a Masters degree in public relations.
Married to The Herald’s former education editor, now news editor at the Times Education Supplement Scotland, Elizabeth Buie, Kevin joined the Scottish Futures Trust after six months’ casual work on the justice desk in the media division of the Scottish Government.
