ONE of Scotland’s biggest local authorities has appointed the communications chief from a neighbouring authority to head its communications department.
East Renfrewshire’s new communications manager is to be Louisa Mahon, who is to join from her post as communications chief at West Dunbartonshire Council.
The 35 year-old Stirling University marketing graduate takes up her new job on the 19th of next month and replaces retiring public relations manger, Hugh Dougherty, who has held the post since the start of the council 14 years ago.
