A MEDIA awards competition is calling for work that can be described as highlighting ‘positive, accurate and influential reporting about asylum and refugee-related issues’.
The sixth Refugee Week Scotland Media Awards are being organised by Oxfam Scotland, and supported by partners including Scottish Refugee Council, the NUJ, British Red Cross and the UN Refugee Agency.
They are open to staff or freelance journalists working in print, broadcast, online or in photography, who have worked on asylum or refugee-related stories between May 1 last year and April 30 this year.
The winners will be announced on June 18.

The awards are part of Refugee Week Scotland 2010, which runs June 14-20.
