A SNEAK preview of the likely TV hits of the future is to be provided – at a presentation in Glasgow – by the managing director of a division of the BBC that sells programme formats abroad.
Wayne Garvie is managing director of content and production for BBC Worldwide, his remit including content investment strategy and international production.
He is speaking at an event being hosted by the Scottish branch of the Royal Television Society, which says: “Under Wayne’s direction, BBC Worldwide has invested in some of the UK’s best independent producers, as well as a wide range of outstanding in-house formats. Internationally, he oversees Worldwide’s production activity, creating local versions of UK formats and generating new formats for export.”
Wayne is speaking a week on Wednesday. For tickets, priced £5, email henrye@skillset.org
