THE longest-running TV sports programme in the world, Scotsport, on stv, is looking for a new presenter, its current host, Jim Delahunt, having announced he is to leave to take on a presenting role with football broadcasters, Setanta.
Delahunt has been presenting Scotsport for eight years, prompting head of sport at stv, Henry Eagles, to remark: “We are obviously sad to see Jim go. He’s been with the Scotsport team for eight years and we’ve been delighted with the work that he’s done in that time. We are very pleased for him and wish him all the very best for his new role. And as the Setanta team are based in the same building as stv, we’re certain to keep in touch.”
Added Delahunt: “I’m sad to be leaving a brilliant team here at stv and will of course miss working with them. I’ve been at stv for 16 years now and feel that it’s the right time to move on. A new opportunity has come up and I’ve decided to take it. It’s an exciting time for me and I’m looking forward to the challenges ahead.”
