THE managing director of one of Scotland’s most popular commercial radio stations is to join the BBC.
Luke McCullough has been MD at Northsound for almost two years.
He joined from Radio Forth, where he was programme director, a post he has also held at Northsound, during a previous stint there, which also included presenting a mid-morning show on Northsound Two.
He joins the BBC as regional manager for Scotland for the Digital Switchover Help Scheme.
He told allmediascotland.com: “The digital switchover will only happen in Scotland once, so this was a now-or-never opportunity. After 14 years with [Northsound and Forth owners] SRH/Emap/Bauer, it felt like time for a change.
“Of course, I’ll miss the hugely talented people I’ve been working with currently at Northsound and recently at Radio Forth and hope to have the chance to collaborate with them again in the future.”
