STV in two tales today

STV is the subject of two tales in today’s newspapers: 1. That its news operation may be bolstered by funding from the BBC (here) – the result of a possible recommendation tomorrow (by Lord Carter, in his ‘Digital Britain’ report) that ITV news in general receive £100 million, ‘top-sliced’ from the BBC budget; and 2. That ITV is (here) mulling over whether to sue STV for its opting out of network programmes, such as the FA Cup.
