RELATIVE newcomers to television production are being invited to apply for places on a ‘talent initiative’ that runs parallel to the MediaGuardian Edinburgh International Television Festival.
‘Fast Track’ is aimed at people who have been working in television for between two and four years. And the deadline for applications is Friday, with festival taking place in late August. Places are free, with 40 up for grabs.
On offer are masterclasses by, and access to, senior industry executives – plus participation in the festival itself.
This year – as in past Fast Tracks – delegates will be asked to pitch a programme idea, with four finalists required to present live, at the festival. The winner gets a programme slot on Dave, plus £15,000 to help make it happen.
