TO what extent the media – including certain parts of it – have or don’t have ‘integrity’ is to be discussed at a forum on media ethics, taking place in Glasgow later this month.
The Scottish Forum for Professional Ethics – run by the University of Glasgow – is meeting at the BBC Scotland HQ a week on Tuesday, to also discuss to what extent, if at all, press freedom should be limited.
The event is taking place between 5pm and 8pm and will also take in discussion about accuracy and impartiality.
The Scottish Forum for Professional Ethics is a network of academics, professionals and professional bodies that operates from the Centre for Applied Ethics and Legal Philosophy at the university.
It promotes interdisciplinary discussion on how to address the ethical challenges faced in professional life, and contributes to public debate on the role of the professions in a changing society.
