A FORMER journalist with the Daily Record and The Scotsman newspapers has been appointed Africa correspondent for The Sunday Times.
Dan McDougall takes up his post in Cape Town, South Africa, in July.
The 36 year-old previously worked as The Observer’s New-Delhi-based South Asia correspondent and has reported from over 50 countries, including Afghanistan, the Palestinian Territories, The Congo, The Lebanon and Pakistan.
The Scot was voted ‘Foreign journalist of the year’ at this year’s Press Gazette British Press Awards, held last month.
