A FORMER controller of BBC1 and chief executive of Channel 4 has been appointed a non-executive director at STV.
Ahead of STV Group plc’s annual general meeting today, it has announced that Michael Jackson will be joining the board.
Jackson is also a former controller of BBC2. He spent four years as chief executive at Channel 4 and is currently a senior advisor at an ‘internet conglomerate’, IAC.
Says STV Group plc: “[At Channel 4] he was responsible for the commissioning of programmes such as Da Ali G Show, Queer as Folk and So Graham Norton.”
